Security
National Tax Data uses a login/password system to
protect your account information.
Security for all personally identifiable information
is extremely important to us. Unfortunately, no data transmission
over the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. As
a result, while we strive to protect your personal information,
we cannot ensure, warrant, or guarantee the security of any
information you transmit to us or from our online products
or services, and you do so at your own risk. Once we receive
your transmission, we make our best effort to ensure its security
on our systems. In addition, our Site uses a security protocol
called Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology along with other
technology, to protect your communications through server
authentication and data encryption. SSL is a set of rules
followed by computers connected to the Internet. These rules
include encryption, which guards against eavesdropping; data
integrity, which assures that your communications are not
tampered with during transmission; and authentication, which
verifies that the party actually receiving
your communication is who it claims to be.
Children's Privacy. We are committed to protecting
the online privacy of children. In accordance with the Children's
Online Privacy Protection Act, we will not knowingly collect
any personally identifiable information from children under
the age of 13 without first obtaining parental consent.
Prior to providing any personally identifiable information,
either by placing an order, setting up a National Tax Data
account, or participating in any other activity offered through
the Site, children under the age of 13 must have a "Parent"
or "Legal Guardian" complete and return a Parental
Consent Form by regular mail to: 1011 Brioso, #110, Costa
Mesa, CA 92627. This consent form states that "Parent"
or "Legal Guardian," by his or her signature, consents
to the collection and transfer of the child's personally identifiable
information provided. The "Parent" or "Legal
Guardian" may revoke this consent by completing the Revocation
of Parental Consent Form and sending it to the same address
or fax number.
For orders placed by children under the age of 13 with parental
consent, we will only collect and use information (e.g., e-mail
address, mailing address, payment method and details) to process
and fulfill orders and to provide notification or order status.
In the event children under the age of 13 are eligible, with
parental consent, to participate in certain activities offered
through our site, we will only collect and use information
(e.g., e-mail address, mailing address, name, age) to the
extent that it is necessary to administer the activity. We
will never require that a child disclose more information
than is necessary to participate in an activity as a condition
of participation.
Information collected pursuant to this section with parental
consent may also be shared with trusted service providers
as specified in this Privacy Policy and may be used for internal
review purposes in aggregate. We will not otherwise disclose
information collected from children under the age of 13.
